Free Wellbeing Walks

Thanks to funding from Avanti West Coast and Transport for Wales we have teamed up with Mind Conwy to offer free Wellbeing Walks from railway station in the Conwy County.

Our series of walks, ‘Rails to Trails: A Journey to Wellbeing’, are designed to promote physical health, mental wellness, and community by connecting iconic train stations and beautiful walking trails. Each walk is tailored to meet the unique needs of different groups within our community.

Men’s Walk

Starting: 16th September – Llandudno Junction Station to Bodlondeb Woods
Description: This walk is dedicated to men of all ages who are looking to improve their wellbeing through physical activity and camaraderie. Enjoy a scenic route, engage in meaningful conversations, and build lasting friendships.

Additional Dates

23rd September 9:50am – 1:00pm – Llandudno Train Station, West Shore and Happy Valley

30th September 9:30am – 3:00pm – Walk around Llanfairfechan (minibus from Llandudno Junction Station)

7th October 9:20am – 3:40pm – Betws y Coed – Slate Trail (minibus from Llandudno Junction Station)

Walk for Women who have experienced Menopause

Starting: 27th September
Description: This walk is specifically for women who are navigating the challenges of menopause. Connect with others who understand your journey, share experiences, and find support in a nurturing environment. The trail offers a peaceful setting to relax and rejuvenate.

18th October – 10:00am – 2:30pm – RSPB Conwy, Guided Walk

Youth Walk

Starting: 24th September
Description: Aimed at young people aged 18 – 24, this walk encourages the youth to step away from their screens and immerse themselves in nature. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends, learn about the environment, and develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

8th October – 9:30am – 3:40pm – Golygfa Gwydir, Foraging and Open Fire Cooking

15th October – 10:00am – 2:00pm – RSPB Conwy, Guided Walk
