To celebrate their 35th anniversary year in September Rail Rambles will be using Llandudno as a base for three nights. This gives them the opportunity to offer five walks, on four consecutive days, in an area that they don’t often travel to because of the distance involved. Note apart from the walk on Monday, for all other walks please meet at Bus Stop C opposite the Palladium on Gloddaeth Street 10 minutes before the bus is due.
Friday 27 September – depart Shrewsbury 9.26 for afternoon walk
Colwyn Bay to Llandudno via the coastal path. (6.5 miles leisurely/moderate). Leaders Pat Willday, Linda Hollins. Depart Llandudno by bus for Colwyn Bay, bus no 12 or X12 at 13.05.
Saturday 28 September
Conwy Hill circular via Bryn Iocyn Mast, Groesfford, Llechwedd, Synchnant Pass and North Wales Coastal Path. (7 miles moderate, with some short steep sections). Leaders Peter Jones, George Dewar. Bus no 5 or 5C departure 10.30 from Llandudno.
Note this Rail Ramble is timed to start and finish to enable anyone not staying for the weekend to join for the day. Depart Shrewsbury 09.27. (Walk will start from Conwy Station after the train from Shrewsbury arrives at 11.22). Return Conwy 16.24.

Sunday 29 September – a choice of two options.
1. Abergwyngregyn circular via Aber Falls. (6 miles leisurely / moderate). Leaders Pam Swales, Pat Tulloch. Depart Llandudno by bus 5 or 5C at 10.15.
2. Llanfairfechan to Abergwyngregyn via Carneddau, Roman Road and Pilgrims Path, including Aber Falls. (10 miles moderate). Leaders Aisling Amato, Diane Hambleton. Depart by bus 5 at 9.19 (changed). Return by bus no 5 17.04 from Aber Falls stop.
Monday 30 September
Morning walk from the hotel to the Summit of The Great Orme. Then return to the hotel to collect bags before heading back home. (3 miles moderate). Leaders Mick Hemming, Peter Hollinrake. There are various trains for the return journey 14.13, 14.41, 16.12, 16.42 and later if preferred.
